Puzzle Challenge

I know there are a lot of fellow travelers out there. The show got a 94% favorable rating. Good stuff is never forgotten. No wonder they are always looking to reprise classic TV as the new offerings pale in comparison. I have a giant poster on my wall emblazoned with “Fringe: the final season. Friday, September 28, FOX.” It commemorates my passion. If you love sci fi and unexplained phenomena, you should have a look. After all, Fringe received three prime time Emmys in recognition for its exciting dramatic storyline and acting. Kudos go to the special effects and sound crews for a job well done. It also garnered many Saturn awards for Anna Torv, Lance Reddick and John Noble.  The Casting Society of America and the American Society of Cinematographers also deemed Fringe as tops in their category. I could go on with Critic’s Choice and the Hugo and Leo awards.

I could tout the merits of Fringe forever but let me take a breather. I have to tell you that I made a huge boo boo the other day and accidentally put copies of my favorable show reviews into my home paper shredder. I was organizing my office and getting rid of assorted old documents. Somehow, a file of reviews got in the discard stack. As soon as I recognized my error, I stopped cold and retrieved some of the mess, hoping to put as much as I could back together. It was an impossible task—like a horrendous puzzle made of scraps instead of colorful pieces.

Yes, you can find lots of material online, but replacing everything could be traumatic. Fortunately, I only got so far. The only good part of this story is that I started to reread everything on the Internet and actually found some new items to print out. My collection would be restored and intact. I want to be the ultimate resource on the Fringe subject. Don’t hesitate to ask for help if you want to amass a good archive of your own. One of my purposes in life, and this blog, is to be a repository of information.

Author Meetup

What devoted Fringe fan wouldn’t want to meet up with another fan. In this case, it was someone I met online. We chatted and texted for months before the schedule meeting. We had a lot in common, especially a love of the defunct show. The woman is an author who writes a lot of fan fiction. I really admire what she does. I felt that we were friends already, but thought it best to encounter one another in a public place. A coffee shop would probably have been more appropriate, but she loved the idea and wanted to try something new out: an indoor trampoline facility that had been advertising on Facebook. It piqued my curiosity as I had never even seen anyone jump on a small backyard version.

We had a safety brief together and proceeded to find an available trampoline. We watched a few others, some experienced pros, and were eager to see what it is like. It didn’t disappoint and we had a great time. We sat down after for a rest and started talking. It was easy to while away the time given our fondness for the same Fringe characters. She had a good memory for plots and episodes and even topped me in this regard. We reminded each other of certain programs that we had forgotten. I have seen them so many times that I was surprised that this happens from time to time. Our meeting was a good opportunity to share our knowledge.

I continued to text and message my new friend, and we agreed to meet again as time permits. She is a super busy person with all kinds of responsibilities. I, on the other hand, will make time if it has anything to do with Fringe. It is comforting to know that there are fellow Fringe fans out there, devotees like me who want to share the joy. Meanwhile, I visited the trampoline facility on my own. It was a daring adventure, and one I couldn’t forego. I really preferred to have my friend along to help me ante up my skills and try new moves. Once I mastered tucks, there was the matter of somersaults and flips. When I achieved success, she was the first person I notified. Now I am telling you. If you want to have an amazing time and get a little exercise, get off your butt and jump on a trampoline. There’s a lot of information about them on this web site. You will work up an appetite, so plan a good meal right after.

After disclosing my trampoline sessions, I waited for word from my author friend. I wanted to know what adventures had come her way. She was writing all the time now, so there was nothing novel to share. Who knew that I would be the exciting one in this friendly duo? I usually spend time watching TV and not out performing trampoline tricks. I was proud of my recent achievement. I hope it is comparable to her writing prowess. What do you think?

Save Me from this Family Torture

I love my family as much as anyone else, but there are limits to how much exposure I can take at one time. When I was growing up, we were close and did everything as a unit—all the time. I often wished that I could do something with friends for a change. My parents were apparently too protective for to allow that. As a result, we had enough of each other for a lifetime.

When I was asked to join a family vacation, at first I balked and said “no way.” Then I felt guilty and changed my mind. While it might be family torture, how many of these outings will I have to endure for the rest of my life: not enough? If I miss out now, I will regret it later when we don’t have them anymore. The idea of a group camping trip didn’t sound too bad, especially if I had my charged laptop along. My parents know how important it is for me to watch old episodes of Fringe, so they bring a small portable generator in case my battery runs out. I have no excuse not to go as a result.

The day of the trip, I started to prepare and get out my trusty backpack. It has seen many such vacations and knows what to expect. After I’d prepared my laptop for travel using the tips from Business Bag Review, I placed my laptop within a secure compartment, I noticed a huge tear along the side seam. Yikes. This would never do. I had to run out fast to the nearest mall and get a new one. I thought that I might as well get one that would do double duty for business purposes since I didn’t plan to camp that much anymore. Maybe once every other year at best.

The new bag was perfect and the laptop felt right at home, safe and secure from harm. I put in earphones, my rain poncho, wallet, house keys, and first aid kit. Mother always forgets that. Leave it to the child to remember. Ha!

The weather was glorious and the scenery even better; and after all the moaning and groaning, the vacation was fine. We did the usual family games and hike. When things got boring, I pulled out the laptop and went off by myself. No one was surprised. They knew they wouldn’t see me for at least an hour, maybe when it was time to eat.

Upon returning home, I dusted off the bag to get it ready to accompany me to work. It would house all the same items minus the poncho. Instead there was a bottle of water, a snack, and an umbrella. There will be plenty of room for a book later or a change of clothes for the gym. I can travel with this roomy bag. I love the outside pocket for my cell phone. Everything has its place. I am glad that the old backpack died an untimely death.

Help from a Friend

I wanted to make a little extra money and advertised my house on Airbnb. I love the concept and you can have as many or as few people as you want. It is short-term renting and will keep a little more change in your pocket. Mine is always empty so I found a good way to refill it. It is better than trying to keep expenses under control. That is always a huge chore. What do you cut back? Food, new clothes, entertainment, travel, new Fringe DVDs? Nothing must go in my life. I have the problem solved. Read about it below.

Okay one solved but one new one to deal with. My last renters smoked up a storm and it permeated all the fabric, drapes, carpets, and bedding. I had never thought of this. Then I realized why cheap hotels smell like disinfectant. They have to mask the odor. Now I need to make some decisions. No more renters who are smokers (perhaps I’ll need to check them on Facebook first) or get some good scented spray. I could also use an air purifier. Maybe both. It is time for a cleaning fest.

I invited over a friend with the promise of watching a new Fringe episode, one she hadn’t seen since I just acquired this gem. She agreed knowing that some cleaning was going to take place first. Professionals will come to your home to do the job but then it eats into your rental profit. I consulted a few and read on line so I could do it myself.

Before my friend arrived, I opened all the windows, hoping for a nice breeze to do its job. Fresh air couldn’t hurt in any form. I bought some products at the grocery store and lined them up on the dining room table. I read each label carefully. We started watching the DVD enjoying a beverage and snack while the bed linens were in the wash. The house still smelled, but not so bad. After the episode, it was time to get the cigarette smell out of my house. I had already removed all the ashtrays and disposed of the butts. We took turns sprinkling deodorizing powder on the carpet and let it sink in. After vacuuming the residue out, we wiped off all furniture surfaces. It was now time to spray the sofa and upholstered chairs with Febreze. I chose a light scent. I am told this will remove odors from fibers and not just mask them. If you prefer, you can buy eucalyptus oil and put it in a sprayer. It is also good in the washer.

So far so good. It was looking and smelling better, almost clean. The air purifier was doing well in deodorizing the air. All the techniques we employed played their parts. It was a group effort although the participants were not all humans. I was thrilled. It was a lot of effort which made me think twice of offering the place up for rent; but at least for now the stale smoke was definitely gone.

Putting the Pieces Together

An FBI agent, a brilliant scientist and his estranged son investigate unexplained phenomena. Oh, how I miss Fringe on FOX. We all have our personal losses and must move forward. I never let go, however, as you shall see. I am taking a class in woodworking and am making a jigsaw puzzle with a Fringe theme. What else do you expect from me! I will be making all the pieces myself with a jigsaw, a name appropriate to my project. I expect to finish later in the course after I have learned a few tricks, so in the interim I am watching reruns of the show. I will love a puzzle with a sci fi theme.

As power tools go, a jigsaw is a stellar implement. I read these jigsaw reviews and learnt that 5-amp variable speed motor is typical, which gives you up to 3,000 SPM of cutting power. This will do for most applications, but you can get larger motors. I love that I can make 45-degree bevel cuts and there is an adjustable shoe for stability. It is all about accuracy and control. It takes skill to execute a complicated and detailed puzzle. I will do what I have to master this art. Meanwhile, I am working on the Fringe theme.

Scenes from the TV show are floating in my head and I can’t decide in which direction to go. I have many years to review since the show ran from 2008 to 2013. Watching the old shows is a happy problem. I don’t want to rely on my memory alone. I will get inspiration sooner or later during this multiple-hour process. I am told that there are a hundred episodes about the fictional Fringe Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. It features parallel universes and alternate timelines. I like the way you have to use your brain to keep up. Week after week, you are enveloped in a world of advanced biotechnology and shapeshifters. I love that word. I don’t love the observers from the far future who have ruined Earth. I do enjoy the time traveling (that new show Timeless has ripped Fringe off) and all the historical idiosyncrasies.

My puzzle is going to be a superior effort thanks to the woodworking class. I can’t remember how I got inspired to participate. Once under the guidance of the instructor, however, I was on my way. You can be sure that the finished product will include glyph symbols. When everything has been perfected thanks to the jigsaw and inspiration from Fringe, I will invite fellow travels over to enjoy assembling the puzzle. They can start to guess the them as time progresses. The more people, the faster it will go. I hope it will bond us together now that the show is defunct and make for a resurgence of good memories.

Fringe Party!

It’s time for one of my Fringe parties. I love to have them from time to time as my friends never get tired of reruns. You no doubt live too far to attend, so you will have to get a vicarious experience. If you love the old TV show as much as we do, you can be there in spirit. Or you can write your comments to me about your favorite episodes. We will devote part of our evening to your input. I call my group the Fringe Media Network. I try to keep interest alive by discussing topics the show typically touched upon. We watch old video, or even better, we imagine new characters and plots. Sometimes the scenarios are farfetched, but that is as it should be. You are a fellow traveler if you are reading this blog. Let’s keep Fringe alive!

What goes on at a viewing party? Nothing sinister of course. We watch, we talk endlessly, and we eat. It is a social evening among close friends, and outsiders are also allowed if they enjoy Fringe. I welcome new converts, although frankly, most people have been following the show for years. It is hard to come to it by yourself given that it no longer runs. Nonetheless, we can talk about episodes for hours and hours and reminisce. Sometimes we have forgotten key elements and scenarios and need some reminders. Often, we record a really good conversation. If someone misses a meeting, they can have access to it. When it comes back, it becomes part of my archives. They are in a fire-proof safe along with the DVDs. It is my precious cargo after all.

We enjoy sodas and chips and the usual sugary snacks, but I have started to offer something new and special. I have purchased some reusable water bottles with the Fringe logo emblazoned upon them. The gang adores it. I fill the receptacles with filtered water (I recently installed a home system after reading Home Water Health). There are no complaints about impurities or a tell-tale chemical taste from the tap. Filtered water is almost 100% pure no matter what device you have selected. Even a pitcher in the fridge with a special filter will work, but I went whole hog and put in something to service all my faucets and taps.

The water bottles were hysterical the first time and caused quite a stir. People loved the idea in principle as an effort at water conservation. They exclaimed how clever I am to save on purchased water. They were by no means insulted that they didn’t get pricy Evian. Most people want to take their bottle home as a souvenir. I don’t balk given that I had to order several dozen to get a fair price. For my birthday or a special occasion, I have been given assorted Fringe memorabilia like key chains, rare DVDs, and a wallet. Anything that can handle a printed logo has been a gift.

Why Are We Doing These Things to Ourselves?

After a tough day at work, I am beat. I can barely make dinner or go to the gym. I am never too tired, however, to watch Netflix in bed. I save the late hours of the evening for catching up with work or texting friends. A phone conversation is not a rarity. All this supposed to relax me, but then I get into an email conversation and I am up for hours. Insomnia is solved by more Netflix. Actually, I just wear out and am off well after midnight. My bad habits are ruining my sleep. Are you suffering from a similar problem? Why do we do these things to ourselves?

Because they are fun, pass the time, and satisfy a need. If I didn’t watch old Fringe shows, I would be a mess. I have a quota per week! What is your passion? We all have them. I often enjoy a glass of wine or three as I watch with rapt attention. I wonder if this is not helping my nightly routine. Looking into it, I found that while one glass relaxes you, three will keep your eyes open all night. I thought people passed out after binge drinking, but that is a whole different subject. I certainly don’t want to practice this as a way to get some good shut eye.

Too much exercise will also do the trick as will having that last piece of cake before bed. Soft drinks contain caffeine so they have been banned from my regimen. Sometimes it is my own active mind that is the culprit. I go over and over the day’s events especially if I had encountered any tension at work. A good dressing down by the boss will cause the worst insomnia I know. I didn’t realize how fragile sleep is. The problem gets worse as you age, so get into good habits now before it becomes a battle of will. Replace that hard, old pillow and get soft sheets and a comfy blanket. Make your bed a personal paradise. If your body aches, take an aspirin an hour before bed. Home remedies abound such as herbal tea and honey, warm milk, the over-the-counter drug melatonin, and reciting prayers or affirmations. Take your pick from this page – https://www.berightlight.com/common-sleep-problems-manage/. When it comes to sleep, whatever works is highly recommended.

Tossing and turning and rising late will not enhance your clarity of mind or productivity at work. You won’t do well at sports or a simple workout at the gym. You feel tired and need an afternoon nap. No one wants to see you yawning while they are speaking. You must dedicate yourself to your health before it gets the best of you. While I am loathe to turn off Netflix, I can certainly start at dinner time. As a night owl, however, I love to be up and about making use of the free time. Night owls like me have a severe problem and it is harder to deal with for our type. You are lucky if you can fall asleep in the blink of an eye.

Not the Best Idea I’ve Ever Had

I’ve been devastated since Fringe has ended and while I am content to watch old episodes and blog about them, it isn’t the same as encountering a new show every week. It did put me in a category by myself and sometimes you get lonely in your little make-believe world. Sure, there are other aficionados of this defunct TV show and its sci-fi realm. I need to meet new people. I keep telling this to myself. I need to step outside of my boundaries and take on new interests. My parents tell me to become more of a well-rounded person. They are fed up with my one dimensionality. I ask them what do you have in mind? They mutter things like art, dancing, bowling, hiking, or soccer.

Soccer? Wow. That came as a surprise. I have never been that athletic. In school, in spite of the tremendous popularity of the sport, I sat on the sidelines. Isn’t it a bit too late to start now? They say that I will meet new friends with different interests and I can even share my own. There is nothing like joining a team for camaraderie and communal fun. I know they are right, but soccer! Isn’t it a kind of European football? All I have are stupid questions. I am a complete novice and have barely finished watching an entire match. I will read up, go to the playground, do research, and give it a go. I will find out about the attire and the gear and get outfitted at the local sports emporium.

I see the shirts and shorts in assorted colors and you can order them for your specific team. There are accessories like carry bags, knee and ankle supports, knee socks, and cleats. I am captivated by these weird shoes. They come in ridiculous neon colors and the cleats are sole projections that look like a porcupine with a terminal illness. Maybe this is not the best idea I have ever had. I will check on the colors I need and start trying on garb for size. I am fascinated by the shin guards as they imply protection against injury. I don’t know what to expect. Will I get clamored by headers or get nailed by the ball and get a concussion? I could be taking my life in my own hands.

While I don’t know where to start, I am getting the picture slowly but surely. I have already met the team and have been clued in on what to buy, including the best cleats for soccer. I know they offer the player more control and that they are a real necessity. I have to go into this endeavor with an open mind and without fear. Soccer has to be super popular for good reason. If little girls can play it, well, so can I. I love the idea of becoming passionate about something other than Fringe. My conversations will no longer be one dimensional. If you want to compare cleats, give me a call.

Keeping Fringe Alive Through Fanfiction

December 5, 2016

Not many shows have the ability to captivate the imagination like Fringe. It’s no surprise, then, that spin-off novels and comic books have been inspired by the show. It’s also no surprise that fans would take matters into their own hands and create their own content. Fanvids and fanfiction is huge on the internet, and are an increasingly popular way for fans to express their appreciation for imaginative shows with rich characters. And we had a lot of both on the fantasticFringe! The incredible twists and turns of the show allow for anyone, from the intimidated novice to the experienced wordsmith, to try their hand at a case for the Fringe team to solve. Just like the show didn’t have a lot of limitations, neither does the fanfiction. In some cases, the more bizarre the situation, the better the plot and more like the show the fanfiction gets!

Whenever I’m looking for something new to read, I check out sites like Fanfictionor Archives of Our Own to see what great stories are available from my fellow fans. There are also some blogs out there that have some good stories, but as the date of the last aired episode gets farther and farther into our collective review mirrors, some people run out of ideas and their blogs aren’t really updated anymore. We are blessed with a great community of creative people, and the internet helps us share our work with each other. I love the stories that pick up after the series ended, but I also love gap stories—the ones that fill in the holes between seasons or specific episodes, where an idea or plot point can be expanded upon. For example, I always wondered what could have happened if it took Olivia longer to convince Peter to remove that implant? And if Walter was erased, how did the tulip drawing come in the mail? I mean, I have my own ideas, but I am always interested in the theories created by other fans. I also like some of the romantic pieces between Peter and Olivia as well as the occasional happily-ever-after stories with the two of them and Etta. Or even continuing Etta’s storyline—there is a world of possibilities there.

When you were watching the show, was there anything that you felt wasn’t fully answered or explored before the end of the series? Was there a case that you felt left something to be desired? Maybe you should sit down at your keyboard and get started on your own fanfiction! When you’re done, send me the link!

Not Your Typical Show

not-your-typical-show

One thing I loved about Fringe was that there wasn’t really anything else out there like it. I mean, it was kind of like x files but with less skepticism and more mystery. There was a huge sci-fi element with Over There and the Observers and all that, but because it had its own mythology, it didn’t feel so copy-cat. It was a little like a medical drama in that a lot of the time they were trying to figure out what was wrong with someone, but obviously, these weren’t afflictions that anyone else would ever have. It was a little bit crime procedural as well, but again—these were some atypical crimes! There was a little romance to keep us interested, too, although there were some weird wrenches thrown in, like a love triangle (remember Fauxlivia?) that probably didn’t exist on any other show!

I loved that there were so many little details to figure out. Like the logo, change to let you know if you were on the Other Side. And the glyphs! Who else does that? It was a way to keep your head in the show, even during the breaks! I didn’t even know what they were at first, but after Julian Sanchez figured it out and I had my little decoder cheat-sheet, I was very excited. I have to say, it’s the only show that I didn’t mind the commercial breaks so much.

It won awards all over the place. People’s Choice, Critic’s Choice, TV Guide, and SATURN to name a few. And the awards were not in just the same category, either. Fringe won in the sci-fi and drama categories. It also picked up some best-on-television/best network show awards, too, for both the show itself and for its stars. Further proof that there is no way to pigeonhole a rich and complex show like Fringe.

I love that it has generated so much fan-created content. There are whole novels created by fans because they loved the characters so much, and the show gave us such vast amounts of material to work with. Fans created their own art and videos. It’s downright amazing to me that people could be so inspired by something that they, in turn, create their own works. It is as if the show lives on through the fans, and that’s super cool to see. And you can bet it doesn’t happen with just any old show! I mean, do you think anybody’s out there making fanfiction out of a lame, low-rated show? Of course not!

I also think that its unique mythology makes the show infinitely more rewatchable than many other shows on TV right now. Watching episodes again with a better understanding of how it all plays out makes things that maybe went over your head last time make so much more sense. I love that “lightbulb going off” sensation and I still get it sometimes, even after watching the show in its entirety a few times.

These are just a few of my reasons why I think Fringe went above and beyond traditional television. It was a must-watch phenomenon and gets better every time you watch it. If you haven’t already, give it a try!

Where are They Now?

It is always said when a special television series ends, and the cast and crew scatter off to other projects. I don’t always keep tabs on where everyone goes when shows I like reach their end, but I’ve made a special effort to eep in touch” with my favorites from Fringe. In the three years since the showhas been off the air, the show’s ensemble has been busy. Here are some other projects they either have been in or are currently working on in case you are looking to get a post-Fringe fix:

The show’s creators were already fairly established with their careers and have only added more impressive works to their portfolios. J.J. Abrams, a household name from his work on projects like Alias and Lost, has gone on to executive produce on shows likePerson of Interest,Almost Human, and Revolution. He also has a hand in both the rebirth of both the Star Wars franchise and the new Star Trek films.  Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, his other two co-creators and executive producers on the show, are also involved inthe Star Trek projects. In addition, they team upfor the Spiderman franchise and television shows like Scorpion and Person of Interest.

Although star Anna Torv has been acting for awhile, Olivia was really a breakout role for the talented Australian. She recently completed a sci-fi/horror film called Stephanie that is in post-production at the moment. Although I haven’t found a lot out about it, between her starring role and a writer/director from Fringe being attached to the project, I am confident that it will be good. I am also very happy to report that Torv is currently playing another FBI agent in a Netflix series currently filming. It is called Mindhunter, and I hope to bring you more information as it becomes available.

John Noble has had some minor television series success since his role as Dr. Walter Bishop/Walternate, appearing as a guest star on shows as the long-running The Good Wife as well as a two-episode stint on Rake.In addition, he was a regular named Henry Parrish on Sleepy Hollow, co-created by two of the three executive producers of Fringe. Most recently, he landed a reoccurring role as Sherlock Holmes’ father, Morland Holmes, in the series Elementary.

Joshua Jackson was probably relieved that the show took off the way it did so that he could be remembered for playing someone other than Pacey. He is currently starring as Cole Lockhart in the tv drama series, The Affair. He also appeared in an episode of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, a Netflix comedy series.

I really liked Noble in Sleepy Hollow, and I’m definitely excited about both Stephanie and Mindhunter. I can’t wait for those to come out. What about you? Any post-Fringe television or movies you have found to be worth watching?

What’s in Your Parallel Reality?

One of my favorite things about the show was the use of another reality. It was always an interesting way to present another storyline or idea while leaving the main thread of the show intact and opening up all kinds of cool ideas. Have you ever wondered what life would be like if there was another you, living in an alternate reality than the life you actually have?

I always thought that it was such a cool concept. I have always wondered what I’d look like on the Other Side.I figure it is entirely possible that any alternate reality selves of mine are probably dead. If that little voice in my head went the other way a few times, I wouldn’t be here, so that is a pretty safe guess. I wasn’t known for doing the smartest of things when I was younger. Although who knows, there could be a me out there that does everything by the book. She probably doesn’t have a single scar or any fun stories to tell at parties. If she’s even invited to parties, that is. Or maybe Alternna(that’s what I call her, alternate + Arianna; not as good as Walternate but I don’t have clever writers on staff) is someone my mom likes a lot better than the real me.Not that THAT’S all too hard to pull off. Maybe that girl actually went to—and finished—a four-year college. Although maybe she has an alternate mom who just sits around smoking weed all day and doing terrible stuff. I have no idea, although I would love to meet that lady. And speaking of moms, I’d love to think that there’s some version of me out in the universe with a kid or two, adorable alternate little mini-me’s that have a dimple in their cheek when they smile.

On the other hand, what if Alternna is a badass version of me out there, working for a company like Massive Dynamic and designing something cool like a truth serum? Or even something nefarious? It would be too bad for this reality if she cured cancer or something, but if she were evil? Not so much. It doesn’t really matter if she blows up the world, because it isn’t really me, is it? She probably goes kickboxing for fun and rides a motorcycle everywhere she goes. I can totally picture her with a ton of eye makeup on and the trail of guys she leaves in her wake. She’d have to be smarter than me, obviously, and way more obnoxious. She couldn’t get to be that high ranking in a disreputable organization if she wasn’t.

When I’m bored at work, these are the kinds of things I think of. I imagine a day in the life of a me that isn’t me, who is on the Other Side, which might be better (but it might be worse) than what I’ve currently got going on. Am I the only one who does this?

fringe

I love the internet. Aside from going to a convention or something, it’s just about the greatest way to find other people who share my love for shows like Fringe, and I can do it from the comfort of my room. Since I’m always investigating for cool new sites and keeping up to date with my old favs, I thought I’d compile a good resource list for my blog readers. Then you have somewhere to check out if I’m too busy to post one day, and you’re really looking for that Fringe fix.

I really love the way Fringe Blogger’s site is set up. It’s very easy to find info, although their spoilers link doesn’t work anymore—I guess because there aren’tanymore new episodes, there isn’t really anything to spoil. The observers files give you a lot of help if you’re confused about something that went on and then there’s the clues section for when you’re really lost. It runs backwards chronologically, so you start at the end, and when you click on the very last page, you get to see all the promo stuff from before the show started airing. This section is where you will find episode reviews, notes, and easter egg lists. It’s also got a pretty decent following on Facebook, which proves to me that other people out there also think it’s a site worthy of your attention!

The most in-depth site I’ve ever had seen, though, is the practically professional Fringepedia site. It is a huuuuge wiki site for fans, by fans. It has just about everything you can think of, and people are still working on it. Whenever I’m trying to remember when something specific happened or what a minor character’s name was, I’m on Fringepedia checking everything out. I love the organization they have going on there. Color coding the characters to show who is alive and who isn’t? Total genius.

One other place that I know it isn’t a fan site per sayis the IMDB Fringe site.  I can’t help reading all the trivia and goofs. It is so fun to be “in the know” about my favorite show! I also like to go there so that I can keep tabs on everyone’s new projects and see if there’s any new information. I am always checking the message boards there, too. For a show that has finished it’s run, it’s nice to see people still posting about it. I also like that you can find out information on anyone affiliated with the show, from crew to people who made a single guest appearance to all of our main character favs. It helps me find new shows and movies to watch, too.

Well, there you have it. A few places I go to get my Fringe fix! That being said, I (of course) hope that my site is your go-to for all things Fringe!
